4 Tips to Invigorate Your Social Media Networks

When you’re managing several social networks, it can be difficult to take extra steps to increase engagement and raise the profile of your posts and profiles. Here, we offer a few suggestions to invigorate your social media networks.

Pin a Tweet to Invigorate Your Social Media Networks

Promote Your Own Successful Tweets Through Retweets and Pins

It can be easy to feel a little bit lost on Twitter. There’s constant activity and news is happening all the time. Everyone is working to promote both their content and their products. Some people are just sharing what they ate for lunch. The endless activity can feel overwhelming. It can also feel exhausting to continually create new and witty tweets and feel like they get missed in all the noise.

Did you know you can retweet your own tweets? If you have a tweet you wish more people had seen or a particularly popular one that you think would reach even more people, instead of reposting the content, you can simply retweet yourself. It is not something you want to do too often, but it is something you can do sometimes for the situations mentioned. Another way to call attention to your popular tweets is to pin them to your Twitter profile. You can also choose a Tweet that has been more popular than others and pin it to the top of your profile page. If you have a Tweet that contains important timely information, such as a sale or special you have going on, you can opt to pin that to the top of your page so that anytime someone visits your profile they see it. To pin a Tweet, click on the drop down arrow on the right hand side of the tweet and choose “Pin to Your Profile Page”.

Use Instagram Stories to Invigorate Your Social Media Networks

Try Disappearing Content with Instagram Stories

Have you tried using Instagram Stories for your business? Instagram stories are short images or videos you can post that will disappear after 24 hours. They are a great way to encourage engagement with your brand or business by offering behind the scenes looks at what you do. There’s no expectation that they will be professionally edited videos, they can be short videos you quickly record on your cell phone. Additionally, Instagram offers fun stickers and filters you can use to give your videos and images a little bit of pizzazz.

You can plan your content in advance, though. Instagram allows you to choose from anything on your camera roll. So if you want to plan a sequence of videos, you can film them in advance and then post them to your instagram account. You can design images on canva or another program and send them to your phone. Even though Instagram Stories don’t need to look polished, for a business, it’s still a good idea to coordinate and organize content.

Some fun ideas for Instagram Stories include behind the scenes tours of your business, short question and answers with your staff, exclusive coupons or deals, and sneak peeks of forthcoming products or services. Have fun with it!

Unsure how to use Instagram Stories? Go to the Instagram app on your phone. You can either post your first story by clicking on the round button with your profile at the very top or swiping left. You can take a picture straight within the app or tap on the small photo sized icon and select the video or photo you would like to add to your story.

Although you hope they will do it naturally, encourage them to like and share your posts, especially those that are relevant to their line of work. Your employees are your best advocates so getting them involved on LinkedIn will help establish the authority and impressions you are looking for on that site.
